Involvement

Wilmington Lodge No. 208 A.F. & A.M. has been a staple in Wilmington for over 165 years. We pride ourselves in being active members of the community on a personal level as well as the Lodge level consistently throughout this time. Some of our involvement includes:

Education/Youth

• Gives over $5000 per year in scholarships for Wilmington, Braidwood, and Coal City.

• $1000 yearly "Books for Progress" program, ensuring the purchase of books for students who would be unable to afford them.

• Yearly "Bikes for Books" program, where students receive tickets for a drawing for every book read to receive a bike.

• Yearly WBSA team sponsorships

Beautification

• Semi-annual trash cleanup of Route 102 in Illinois "Adopt-A-Highway" program

Dinners/Cookouts

• Yearly Veterans/1st Responders cookout

• Yearly chili cook-off

Miscellaneous

• Consistent donations to Kuzma Care Cottage, Oakwood Cemetery, and Wreaths Across America

• Member of Wilmington Chamber of Commerce
